Rosedale & Forest Hill
Rosedale, which is roughly bounded by the Canadian Pacific Railway tracks to the north, Yonge Street to the west, Rosedale Valley Road to the south, and Bayview Avenue to the east, is divided into a north and south portion by the Park Drive Ravine.
Home to many of Toronto's most established (and monied) citizens, this parklike districts feature winding streets lined with magnificent homes, well-tended gardens, and secluded parks. Rosedale is surrounded by beautiful ravines just a few minutes from Toronto's major business, entertainment, and shopping districts. Take a stroll through this neighbourhood for a taste of how the upper crust lives, or simply to get some great gardening ideas!
Forest Hill is roughly bounded by Bathurst Street to the west, Upper Canada College to the east, Eglinton Avenue to the north, and Lonsdale Road and a portion of Montclair Avenue to the south.
Forest Hill Village is known for its upscale shopping and dining, although the actual mix of stores includes several modest enterprises. The Lower Village has attracted extensive residential development (especially of apartments), both within the original boundaries of Forest Hill and in adjacent neighbourhoods to which developers have now extended the Village and Forest Hill names.
