I visited Toronto in the summer of 2007 and had THE MOST AMAZING time. I loved the amount of festivals and celebrations, one for every weekend of the summer. And the fabulous attractions make it better than most American cities I've visited. Toronto has it all, great people, great weather, diversity, architecture, history, and a future. The neigbourhood I visited called "the beaches" reminded me of heaven. I hope to visit again sometime to see what new things I can find in this awesome city.

I thank you for the wonderful week away from the rain!

As a recent visitor to your city, I thought I would just take a few minutes to let you know about my experience in Toronto. I currently reside just north of Victoria, BC and had not been in Toronto for perhaps twenty five years.

As a recent visitor to your city, I thought I would just take a few minutes to let you know about my experience in Toronto. I currently reside just north of Victoria, BC and had not been in Toronto for perhaps twenty five years.
First, I was barely out of the airport bus at my hotel, fumbling with far too much luggage, when a gentleman offered to assist me. I declined as I was already at the door of the hotel. Barely inside the hotel, a young lady (teenager) approached me and without giving me time to decline her offer of help, simply went about hauling my luggage to the front desk. I did ask her if she worked at the hotel and she simply replied that 'no, I'm just waiting for someone'. I was very impressed. I should add that I am a very physically capable 40 something.
From that point forward I found nothing but politeness and courtesy wherever I went...from the usual tourist attractions to the local Tim Hortons. I walked most everywhere as I was staying at the Holiday Inn on King and did not at any time feel that my personal safety was in jeopardy.
I have to say that because of that I had a thoroughly pleasant visit...I could not have asked for more. I do have relatives in the city who gave me the impression that perhaps Toronto was not the best place to visit but I was completely awed by the impressive and considerate nature of your residents. I will certainly pass on my wonderful experience in Toronto and thought perhaps that the first people to know should be the people whose job it is to promote it.
I thank you for the wonderful week away from the rain!

Great Trip.

Toronto is a great place for American students to go on spring break. I went last year and had one of the best times of my life. If you can swing it, go on St. Patricks day. Everyone is so friendly, it's an experience I wont soon forget.

Nice Place!

Being a Montrealer, I may have some prejudice to Toronto and I'll always consider Montreal better. I think that Toronto isn't as bad as some of my friends say.

Being a Montrealer, I may have some prejudice to Toronto and I'll always consider Montreal better. I think that Toronto isn't as bad as some of my friends say. Toronto is not dead, it has a nice culture of which is taking shape. This city has the tallest building in the world ( too bad Chicago and Dubai are building taller buildings but the CN tower will always be nice). Hard to get lost in, people are nice, and it's a good place to lose your money in the Eaton Center and not feel bad about it. Toronto is worth paying a visit, and this is coming from someone who loves Montreal more than anywhere.

I went to Toronto with my father and loved it. There was always something to something to do. We stayed around the GTA but driving wise it was only 10/15 minutes away from the downtown and on our way in we saw Niagra Falls! The people were incredibly friendly. It was pretty easy to get where we needed to go. I love it and wanna move there when i'm older! I definitely will be going to Toronto again!!

My wife and I were visiting Niagara Falls for vacation, and on a whim we decided to visit Toronto. We were going to go to the CN Tower, but ended up taking a ride on one of those double-decker buses along with a boat ride in the harbor.
When we drove into the city we were happily able to quickly find public parking at a very reasonable rate. We were then blown away by how clean, hip, and vibrant the city seemed to be. Everyone we met was friendly, polite, and helpful. As I mentioned above, we went on one of those tour boat rides out into the harbor. What's stunning beauty! If we look in one direction we saw the lush greenery, beautiful weeping Willow trees, and clean, inviting waterways along with quiet, serene parks. Upon looking back behind our shoulders at the city we saw a beautiful and impressive skyline combining the best of the old and the new. An amazing sight!
After our boat ride we took a fun and informative trip on the double-decker tour bus. We were getting hungry, and when we saw that street with all those restaurants we knew where we are going next. Sure enough, after finishing our bus ride we had a pleasant walk over your clean streets and sidewalks and enjoyed a great meal at one of those restaurants. After we were finished we were able to easily make our way out of the city with the help of your large prominently displayed street signs.
I look forward to visiting again when I have more time and I'll tell others about your great city.

Incredible

You have the "big city" resources and attractions, and yet everything is so clean and lush with vegetation.

I visited your beautiful city (and country for that matter) for the first time a few weeks ago. What amazed me was the cultural diversity and size. The city is so modern, yet holds on to it's history. You have the "big city" resources and attractions, and yet everything is so clean and lush with vegetation. On top of everything else, the people were so incredibly friendly! I had a great time at the street festival and have become quite a fan of Thai cuisine. What can I say, I fell in love with your city and can't wait to return!

Toronto is like a little
New York except friendlier. We saw many films and commercials being filmed in the streets. We went up the CN Tower and ate at the beautiful and romantic rotating restaurant. I never had better salmon. The people were very friendly. I can not wait to go back and I'd love to move there.

The past fused with the present

I've visited Toronto 3 times since Feb 1999. I love the diversity within the city, but I also love the way Toronto has held on to its Historical past. The buildings are amazing, the neighbourhoods friendly, and the nightlife great. There are still elements of British culture around the city which intertwine with the newer languages, foods, buildings and neighbourhoods. Coming back in March '06.
