Yorkville
Flower children once flocked here. They hung out in the coffee shops and listened to musicians like Joni Mitchell, Neil Young and Gordon Lightfoot. Today you can still get your caffeine fix here, but it will likely be a cappuccino or decaf latte.
This neighbourhood is home to some of Toronto’s toniest shops, tucked into the restored Victorian houses lining the streets. Hazelton Lanes is home to several swank clothing boutiques as well as Toronto’s only Rolls-Royce dealership. The adjoining strip along Bloor Street is known as the Mink Mile. It’s lined with shops such as Holt Renfrew, Hermes, Tiffany and Cartier.

Wineries from around the world participate in Santé: The Bloor-Yorkville Wine Festival every May. There are hundreds of tastings of rare and exceptional vintages. Educational seminars teach the finer points of bouquet and over 50 restaurants prepare meals designed to showcase the attributes of various wines.
Interesting Fact
Yorkville Park has examples of various Ontario landscapes such as the Canadian Shield and a butterfly meadow. Its innovative design has won international awards.
