The West End
High Park
Hailed as one of Toronto’s loveliest green spaces, High Park is a great retreat on a lazy Sunday afternoon. Amateur anglers can cast their lines in Grenadier Pond. The Dream in High Park gives Shakespeare lovers
the opportunity to see a classic play under a leafy canopy. The High Park Zoo is tucked away in the centre of the
park and will keep the young ones entertained with deer, buffalo and peacocks.
Bloor West Village
This neighbourhood’s draw is the shopping district stretching along Bloor Street from High Park to Jane Street. Its success was originally brought about by the Ukrainian merchants getting together and forming one of the world’s first business improvement districts.
Roncesvalles Village
European delis, fruit and vegetable stands and symbols of the Pope and the Catholic faith line either side of Roncesvalles Avenue. This predominately Polish neighbourhood has a thriving arts scene and is a great place to find eastern European CDs, books and delicacies.
