Glammed-up or dressed-down?

When the sun goes down, Toronto comes to life. Whether you want to dance until dawn or just chill on a patio, you’ll find your perfect night out.

Proud of our Pride.
When the whole city comes out, the party is guaranteed to be electric – one of the quintessential summer experiences in Toronto, the fun, fabulous and flamboyant Pride Week is a raucous citywide celebration. Kick off Pride Weekend in style at the newly refurbished, ultra chic Palais Royale Ballroom, where the crème de la crème will be living la vida loca in high style.

Nights in the Village.

Renowned for Toronto’s best parties, Fly pulses with energy. Week after week, it plays host to some of the world’s biggest DJs. Find the friendliest social atmosphere in the heart of the Village at Pegasus bar and the cool Voglie Risto-Bar. Just up the street, Slack Alice is a popular bistro that gets more crowded once night falls. And leather-lovers will want to hit The Black Eagle to mingle with a like-minded crowd.

We live for patio season!

When summer arrives, you’ll find the entire city out on a patio. O’Grady’s Tap and Grill is a top choice in the Village, where the patio is usually standing room only. Zelda’s is just up Church Street and is a great spot to sit outside and people-watch. Up nearer Bloor St, Spirits Bar Grill is another place to get a tan and watch the sun go down over gin and tonics.

Out on the town.

The best thing about queer nightlife in Toronto is that it stretches far beyond the Village. Ask yourself  “Are they or aren’t they?” as you party with open-minded, mixed crowds at bars throughout the city. Head to Little Italy for Latin drag at El Convento Rico, visit other College Street bars like Ciao Edie and Bar Italia or John Street's electric CiRCA. Hit Queen Street for The Drake, The Gladstone and the Bovine Sex Club (no…it’s not what you’re thinking).

Wining and dining.

Tapas or tiramisu? In Toronto, you can quite literally explore a world of cuisine. Experience our diversity through our unlimited culinary options - from Indian and Asian fusion to French and Italian. Fill your belly before a night on the town.

Cozy into a plush booth at The Superior Restaurant. Located steps from the Village, it’s a Toronto landmark with an eclectic international menu. Release your inner sommelier at Reds Wine Country Bistro, where the menu is based on wine regions throughout the world. If you want a little entertainment with your meal, head east for On the Curve Hot Stove & Wine Bar.

Noshing in the Village.

There’re numerous culinary choices within the Village. Fire on the East Side and Hair of the Dog are two popular destinations, with unconventional menus and street-side patios for people-watching. Enjoy the contemporary feel and tasty creations of Fuzion Resto-Lounge & Garden, or check out the pub-fare served up by the sassy staff at the famous Zelda’s.

The world on your plate.

Nearly every kind of cuisine in the world can be found in Toronto. Enjoy traditional Japanese fare at Izakaya, or sample Asian fusion at Monsoon. For rich French dishes, enjoy the a la carte menu at Thuet Cuisine. Or try California-inspired food at Brix Napa Valley Grille & Wine Bar.

Queen Cuisine.
The Queer West Village area is located on Queen Street (really!) and is full of vibrant bistros and cafes. The Drake is a popular meeting place with an eclectic menu and an even more eclectic crowd of regulars. Across the street, the Beaconsfield is a busy bar/restaurant with ambitious dishes like their famous lobster ravioli. And a little more east is Swan, a funky ‘50s diner turned bistro with a menu that changes daily.
