Mosport’s 2007 season schedule features Canada's biggest sports car race, the Mobil 1 presents The Grand Prix of Mosport (Aug. 23-26), the only Canadian stop for the American Le Mans Series. These low, sleek prototype and GT machines represent the world’s top manufacturers like Acura, Audi, Corvette, Ferrari, Mazda, Panoz and Porsche and will reach speeds of 300 km/h. Many of these teams and drivers compete at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, including Canadian racing star Ron Fellows. The GP of Mosport draws a three-day weekend crowd of over 70,000 and is broadcast live across Canada, the United States and Europe. Other major events this year included two races in the new NASCAR Canadian Tire Series (June 15-17 & Aug. 11) and a doubleheader motorcycle racing weekend in the Parts Canada Superbike Series (July 13-15). Advance weekend tickets start at just $30, with children 12 and under admitted free. Camping is available. The 750-acre, multi-track facility is located less than an hour east of Toronto.
